Pick Two!

I have finally found a resolution for my mobile bloggin’ issues while I’m traveling :).

Here is your workplace topic for the week…

If you could choose two of the following spiritual traits for your relationship, which two would you choose and why?

1) Love, 2) joy, 3) peace, 4) patience, 5) kindness, 6) goodness, 7) faithfulness, 8) gentleness or 9) self-control

Think carefully about which two you’d select because you may be sacrificing something important in the process!

I feel like you will miss the whole monumental concept of your question if you sat there and honestly tried to figure out which two are more important than the other seven... especially when you only need one from the list.

Biblically speaking, Love is all you need. Since God is love, choosing true biblical love means that we are in and of the very essence of Jesus (God). Taking it a step further, since we are in Jesus, this means we know how to 1) love others and 2) love ourselves. If you are in Jesus you will have joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control... no matter what the circumstances or situation looks like (that leads down a whole other road to how strong your faith is... so I digress).

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7(NIV)

I think the real question is... are you AND your relationship in and of God?
